Of the Precious Things

1. It's Sunday!

Call me an early bird! (My puffy eyes proved that.) I woke up early in the morning for the Sunday service, and still morning is really great with the not-so-nice breakfast but nice people around me, thank God! Also, I hide myself in an awkward corner so I could just snap on myself.

2. The brand new jeans

If you have been following (or here), you should know that I really love new clothes/ pants with price tags. And yes, it's the first time I put on this brand new jeans and I nearly thought it's still CNY!

3. The Lost and Found Earring

I found it after around 12 hours of losing it which caused me to feel a pang of guilt as it was a precious present. Wit bought is better than wit taught, I have learned to treasure and appreciate every single thing in my life, even it's as small as this.

白米饭

以前从来不觉得自己喜欢白米饭，也不觉得一碗热喷喷白米饭是会多令人满足。

直到最近，我爱上大大碗的白米饭。以前从来不知道可以吃上一碗白米饭是多么幸福的事，我也从来不会提醒自己从小老师教导过的粒粒皆辛苦，更不会坚持把每一粒米饭吃完。或许是上了大学开始吧，开始发现宿舍食堂提供的饭不再像家里的米一样洁净，有时还会看见好多黄米，也会咀嚼到小石粒；但其实我没埋怨啦，我只需要付RM3.50/day 就可以享用早、午、晚三餐算是很幸福了，政府算是对我们大学生不薄了！

或许是米饭被分解后的碳水化合物真的会让人有强烈的饱足感，或许把米饭象征着家里无时无刻的温暖，白米饭，无敌！

没那么严重，只是染发罢了, 但染发确实是条不归路，这也是没什么我考虑了二十年后才敢做下的决定，不是吗？由于我的头发黑色素偏高，一来担心头发会不上色，二来担心头发长出来、后那个难忍的阶段。

除了染发，这几个月以来，我也渴望有一头爽朗的短发，但你懂的，不是人人都能都有资格衬得起短发。所以，我把头发剪短了，虽然不是很短。

我爱上短发了！下次，请让我有多些许勇气！

所以說，檳城是個好地方。

我和其他九万九千九百九十九個人一樣，去體驗了人擠人的熱鬧，雖然閒中我被路人甲乙丙丁不客氣地汗水給粘上了，被缺乏氧氣的痛苦給折磨了，但是感謝這份文化還有被傳承下去的每一份堅持。

想在新年这个叙旧的季节找个舒适又安静的地方和三五知己聊聊天还真的不容易，要知道shopping mall 都会出现人挤人的现象，而town area 的车水马龙也不好惹。

知道这个聚会之后，就开始烦恼聚会的地点，毕竟是年初三，很多店家还未开市。上网搜寻了我一直都很想拜访的Behind 50, 很可惜的他们会在初六才开市。

近年来，不少具有文化特色的cafe 垄断乔治市一代的市场，其中一家，就是 Cafe 55 @ Coffee Atelier。前身是Kopi Sine Cafe 的 Cafe 55 位于 Lorong Stewert 尾段，引来的不只是年轻一代的顾客，还有许多外国背包客；吸引的不只是特有槟城特色的咖啡，还有浓浓槟城的人情味。

只是Menu就非常有新旧crossover的感觉。

Menu 不会让人眼花缭乱；简单却不无聊。我们点了一份Scrambled egg with mushrooms 和一份set lunch.

店里的装潢简单、摩登，却少不了乔治市的旧文化味道。

那些我为迎接新年做的事

当我还在沉溺在午觉，投入在那不知名的梦时，很不愿意的被巨大的噼里啪啦响声惊吓。是鞭炮耶！那像是好多个世纪以前的事情了！当然，这也意味着龙年它已迫不及待地来了！

大家都准备好了吗？我遇上了人生的大抉择，就是... 不懂该不该把新年衣洗个干干净净。今年算上是长大后最有收获的一年（小时候总是有妈妈帮忙张罗），没有特别想购买，只是我都抱着三姑六婆的态度，看见自己喜欢的有折扣就觉得物超所值。况且，我只是一年买一次新衣，所以应该不算过分吧！

话说回头，往年我都没有把新年衣服先洗再穿的习惯，但由于今年的衣物都是在KL 购买的，感觉上已被六千三百四十一个人试穿过（虽然我都有拿新的），再加上本身有点轻微洁癖，所以理智上是应该好好清洗一番。话虽如此，我更有一个怪癖，就是喜欢把Price Tag 留到最后一秒才剪掉，毕竟这样才会有穿新衣的感觉。

所以的所以，我就把那些没有price tag的新衣拿去洗了。

好啦，我知道新年的意义其实是除旧迎新，我其实也没闲着呢！自从回到家里后，就开始和灰尘打仗了，如果这世界上没有灰尘，那该有多好呢！感谢我一双非常敏感的鼻子，可以随时随地detect灰尘。*晕*

懒惰永远是最好的借口，美丽却是最大的动力。为了让皮肤可以比豆腐还滑，我也要敷个面膜，睡个美容觉，懒惰，滚开吧！

来个漂亮的指甲永远少不了，大红大紫大蓝大绿真的不是我的style, 指甲彩绘我也没那个闲情逸致。还是来个simple & nice 吧！

最后，

家里大小礼篮已被五马分尸了，老爸还特地拿了这个给我，好可爱。女人不补好易老就是这个道理。

凌晨两点，让我废话一点。

两点，是宁静的凌晨两点。穿着旧旧的轻松背心和宽松得应该被当踏脚步的短裤，我慵懒的躺在软绵绵的床上，抱着的小枕头，有被氧化的泪水、口水的味道，覆盖着我的是阿嬷从中国买回来的丝绸棉被。好温暖，暖得我不舍得入眠。

是的，我回到家了。带着被消化的午餐，踏上烦人的捷运，背着足以让我身高减少一公分的笨重行李，坐了五个小时的巴士，我平安的到家了。感谢上帝。脑袋里还有消化不完的开心和期待，兴奋脱离考试的魔掌、期待回乡过年；但毕竟精神被严重耗损了两个星期，我不得不承认，我累了。戴上耳机，不让手机任意的播放，我让田馥甄的天籁嗓子让我好好入睡。南北大道一路通顺，我在想，游子们，你们还不回家过年吗？

游子；是的，曾几何时，我也当上了游子一族。总是要看过最华丽、最繁荣的，才会发现最原始才是最适合自己的。见识过吉隆坡这个繁荣的城市、体验过它的车水马龙、品尝过所谓高级的食物、遇见过各式各样的地球人类；说真的，我最爱的，还是槟城。最爱这里最有特色的福建话、最爱这里两块钱就可以医饱肚子的到地美食，最爱这里看不完的历史文化，还有好多好多...

明天，我要睡到自然醒，然后请允许我自恋地欣赏我的战利品。

Of the Jonker Street

我.. 我.. 我.. 要大声宣布 自由啦!
是的是的终于允许自己来个新年mood 啦！

马六甲的Jonker Street, 拖了很久，却念念不忘，因为它是我爱上马六甲的原因之一。拍拍灰尘，该从那年那天开始说起... 还记得是我们马六甲三天二夜之旅的第二个晚上，享受完一级棒的Satay Celup 以后，就开始往这片受当地文化渲染多年的鸡场街。

还记得大概两年前和四、五位姐妹的背包旅行，我们踏上了马六甲这个陌生的土地，用脚步代替车子，用不一样的方式呼吸马六甲。为了避开人挤人的悲剧，我们只好把旅程选在周日，也就因为这样，我错过了这片土地。这次，终于让我踏上了。

特色之一，手工纪念品/ 日常用品。

有好多好多很可爱的手工雕饰，热情的老板娘告诉我们雕饰的来源是东马，可惜家里还有一大堆等着为我效劳的钥匙圈，算了。

特色之二， Homemade 娘惹饼干。

一说起Homemade, 我就超High, 因为Homemade 听起来好像是师傅用训练了几十年的工夫，再加上几十年的人生历练，还有想要为顾客服务的心。（注：也有可能还加上破口大骂工钱不够用的三字经。 *晕*）。

买了一盒黄梨饼，温馨提示：你可以选择要用Butter 或是 Margarine 的黄梨饼。对我来说，分别不大，可能是味蕾坏了。

Sien 掉。那场雨说下就下，也不给一点signal, 避雨的地方也太难找了，还有感谢我那双垃圾桶都嫌烂的Sandal。倒霉!

你知道的，那场雨真的让人sien掉，庆幸的是第三天我们又到了Jonker Street，为的就是Nyonya & Baba 的午餐！虽然没夜晚的热闹，但相反的，多了些空间，多了些值得停下脚步的享受。如果有架DSLR，应该会摧毁无限量的memory 吧！

特色之四：香草工房

谢谢雁小姐的介绍，让我见识到这么有趣的手工香皂，又是Homemade，哈哈.. 香皂工房的所有香皂都是纯手工制造，分为脸部保养和清洁身体两种。每块香皂都非常精致，而且有着不懂的香味，也因为不同的材料，有着不同的功效。

特色之五：文化与感动。

感动的是文化的精神，文化是感动的始源。

喜欢这个地方，是因为它的文化，而每个文化的背后，都有独特的历史，历史背后，是不同的大大小小的故事，故事的背后，有辛酸、有泪、还有感动。

这是个残儿不废的故事，她靠着自己的能力和努力，不向生活低头，不往低处走。我看着她一笔一划地位一个台湾游客题字，有种说不出的感动。我想，这才是真正的残而不废，这才是为生命奋斗的含义。我想那个台湾观光客会为她感动。

每个地方都有不同的感动，这块小土地，也有属于我的感动。

原谅我的黑眼圈

才爬进那不是很温暖的被窝不到15分钟，也还没见到周公，我又被逼离开。最近都是这样，老是睡不好。说真的，我真的没熬夜，黑眼圈是因为没睡好。

问问自己，是读书压力、是迫不及待的倒数、是宿舍无法避免的吵杂声...

就剩下明天的最后一场战役了，告诉自己，快到了，假期真的不远了。今早的考试，安全度过，希望明天也会一样。当房门打开后，看见桌子上的红色塑胶，是我的午餐！

Hi all.

I wish I could now share with you how I enjoy my new year, but what I am doing now is just totally opposite. Yes, books and notes are torturing me and I have like thousands of them to study. I could hardly breath. What a way to kick start my new year. After studying for almost 15 years (from kindergarten ), I should have known to endure everything. Fine, I know rainbow always comes after the rain.

Where's the rain though? Every day is a sweltering hot day, in KL and Penang as well. The relentless heat is treating everyone like an ice cube, arghhhh! Rain, y u no come??

How I wish it could at least drizzle for 5 minutes.

OKay, ranting is useless, back to study. Next week is torturing.

Firstly, let me clap for myself that I have only finished revising 2 chapters today, like from afternoon till now. Perhaps I spent most of the time training my Tetris Skills #addiction. If the exams would be tested on the Tetris Games, it would do me a great favour, I mean, at least I wouldn't fail since I have done lots of practices #practicemakesperfect.

Scrolling down through my facebook wall, I saw lots and lots of posts about the new year- 2012. Well, frankly speaking, I still couldn't feel the excitement of welcoming the brand new year, maybe it's because it falls on the study week. Since the dearest 2011 is gonna end very soon, like in 25 more hours, let me make something more productive before my today ended unproductive.

Oh well, I hope you don't get bored of it, it is still about my Malacca Trip. And how could I left the famous Satay Celup out. If you weren't tried any, you're not actually considered been to Malacca, am I right?

Again, it's full! And I realized the Malacca Town is just like a small KL town, super jam+ everywhere full. Wonder why?

OK, fine.

I don't want to repeat this, but again we waited for xx minutes, till we see this thousands-years-saliva satay celup. Kinda disgusting when thinking of this, but it's really YUMMEH! Hello, of course I have tasted like infinity strangers' saliva, you think they will constantly change it?

Sorry, I was too hungry to have the photography mood and ended up to have this =.= photo.

I call it Onion Cheese Fish Ball. Onion coz it looks like an onion, right? So, it's actually a little fish ball with some cheese inside, girls like the most.

Malacca Trip 2- Indulgence

Merry Christmas!! Although it's kinda late, but still in this Holy season, I would like to send my best wishes to all of you and well, hopefully the Santa Clause is still in the town!

And yes, it's officially the study week, which I am still slacking around...

Since so, let me blog about the awesome Malacca Food Trip. Basically, our second day is all about food, no jokes. :) And we skipped our breakfast due to the 'tiredness' and took our brunch in this Huang Chang Chicken Rice Restaurant. Obviously, it is a must- eat in Malacca-- Chicken Rice Ball.

At first we ordered 100 chicken rice balls for 13 of us, but after 15 minutes the guys eventually add on 50 balls.

Malacca Trip 1- Wok and Pan

People often says, work hard, play hard. To me, work hard, play hard, and eat hard. And yes, sometimes you'll have to temporarily forget about the fact that fats are easily stored after meals.

Well, after I have successfully survived in those hectic weeks, me and the coursemates went for a food trip in Malacca. Specially thanks Mr. Oh for being such a great tour guide and I have a brand new view on Malacca. Oh, and also Mr. Lim for the comfy accommodation.

The first stop was Wok and Pan for our first dinner.

I love how they decorate their restaurant, which has reminded me that Santa's coming to the town, loving the Christmas tree!

Kinda love its cucumber and tomato salsa which has perfectly mixed with chillies and onions. Very refreshing.

Conversely with the fish and chips, it's in a real small portion, of course the small-eater will love it. But as for me, it's really not enough. But I'll have to admit the fish is really fresh, and I love how the almonds work with it! Rate : 9/10

這是個不完美的故事..

他們是曾經的一對，分手了，又想和好了。我沒參與過他們的過去，誰對誰錯我無法置評。
男人百般討好；女人借機難搞。一天兩天，一個月兩個月，男人習慣了付出，女人習慣刁蠻。你說男人不懂自己付出的太多了嗎？你說女人不懂自己有多少過分嗎?

終于，男人累了，想放手了；女人卻失望了，後悔了，後悔自己沒好好把握男人對自己所投下的每一份愛。女人們常說，這世上的好男人都絕種了，但女人們其實好男人還沒絕種，只是好男人都不容易隨便灑下愛的種子。好男人是少了，難遇見了；那好女人呢?

People always says the food in KL is so pricey (compared to Penang, the food heaven), and yes doubtlessly I couldn't agree more. But one day, all in a sudden, the roommie told me about the Western food in SS3 which only cost her about RM 6. Until I have the chance to have a try, it is no longer RM6.

Fish and Chips

Mexican Chicken

Yes, the fish and chips is now RM7.50 and the Mexican Chicken is RM8.50.

Still, never try never know, I kinda like the crispy fish and chips, with the tar tar sauce, which has enlighten my taste bud! You can definitely ask for more tar tar sauce.

Not to forget, the Mexican Chicken was quite nice as well.

If they would have provided me with a slice of lemon (or more) for my fishy, I would rate it 8/10. :)

The menu which I suggest to provide more choices.

The best part- like a five-star hotel chef.

I expected I was to be sitting here, enjoying my evening with games and joy and yeah, midterm tests had over. But again, I am overwhelmed by the pain that she is suffering.

Since the last semester break, she is one of the huge part of my life.

Oh Lord, please, I couldn't endure any single second for losing her, for knowing she's suffering, for not taking the responsibility as a filial granddaughter.

Oh Lord, I pray for immediate healing to take over her body, may you restore her health and heal her wounds, bore her pains and carry her sickness.

I mean, I was once trying to justify my mistake, thinking thousands of ways to avoid to thinking of it, but I am here now to give my dignified apologize, sincerely.

I would have to admit, guilt and regret are still overwhelming me, despite every single little endeavour I have made just to console myself. If I would have known the consequences, believe me, I would have think twice before making the stupid attempt.

Besides seeing it as an opportunity to learn and grow, I couldn't think of any better reasons for me to let go of it.

What I really need now are the time that heals and the power of God.

I'll be fine, praying hard to be healed.

Tomorrow will be a better day, December, please treat me well.

Sunday should forever be the most relax and unproductive day of the week, so yeah!

Feeling good when I got to enjoy the weekend by not staying in that boring hostel, but tuning in to those tv channels, being a glutton which made me to have a superb guilty feeling in the deep heart of mine.

The reason for being unproductive: lack of motivation to study. Again, I feel bad but well, this is Sunday, am I right, peeps? Uhh..

Know what? Recently was busying with a football robot, it is indeed not an easy job and we are all trying to man up and meet the challenge.

Cultural Night PT'11

Recall back, I remember I was so passionate in joining the biggest Chinese event in the university last year, named PTUM (Pesta Tanglung University of Malaya), which is very well known among the students here. But you know, I am getting older now #sadcase1 , and when you're old, you just don't have the 'ohm' to take part in all sort of activities. #sadcase2. Oh well, I am still glad that all the juniors found their passion in joining this event. After all, all these activities are what make your time in the uni life.

Cut the crap, I went to the awesome Cultural Night of PTUM yesterday night, and it was really amazing. The ticket price of RM10 was so worthy as the performances were so so so great! Not forgetting, I was there to support my dear roomie who has joined for 4 years. Awesome enough?

Yesterday was so amazing! Been to a wedding luncheon with the love one.

I am always a choosy one when it comes to food, but sometimes I have to admit that it's the people or environment that makes happy moment memorable.

Love is just like a shower of tinkling diamonds, makes me feel so blessed to have all the precious in my life. Thank God.

Anyway, life is not so perfect when you're sick. Arhhh!! Running nose, why you come visit me so often?! Oh, Please let me recover please. Tissue paper is getting expensive nowadays, am I right? Let me get well soon. :(

They say today is a special day, as all of us can only experience this once. Well, it's special, to me, as I have spent this once in a lifetime moment in bus ALONE. At 11:11am 11.11.11, I was hugging my bag, taking my nap, wishing to see my love one beside me. It has always been a hard time for me to leave the place and the people I love, although I knew that we will be meeting very soon.

Human are so fragile, aren't we? Do you rush like hell when you woke up early in the morning? Or keep checking the clock to make sure you are not late for lectures or works? Feel depressing when thinking of the packed and full schedule of the day? Oh, I did. But as I said, we are just so fragile, life isn't that long, we can live it to the fullest. Think, what do you really want, never let those depression to flood your life. Give yourself a minute, breathe in the fresh air, and take a break. Enjoy your breakfast and give thank to the Lord for giving us a brand new day.

People, let's appreciate! Every single little thing in your life, especially your love ones. Give yourself a chance to try out the new thing if you really really want it badly, but never waste your time and love to those who do not deserve. Why care so much about others when you can lead your own happy life? After all, we can only live once.

Nippy Noodle Restaurant

Oh, this is really a holiday, as I have enjoyed a lot, and study has not in my schedule. Since it's a holiday, I thought I shouldn't abandon my blog so yea, now I am here. :)

Wantan mee is always my favourite in Penang, you know right, Penang is just an awesome food heaven. Too bad I couldn't study in Penang, that's the reason for missing Penang food all the time. Some days before, me and the roommie went Kuchai Lama, just to have some fun.

And then while we were hunting for lunch, guess what happen? The car just couldn't move, it is OUT OF PETROL! Wei-yin, you're really so silly!!! We walked around from shop to shop before reaching the petrol station, and finally a kind and old uncle helped us with....

phew!!

After the tiring journey, I think all of us have got our lesson.

Finally we got to take our lunch at Nippy Noodle Restaurant.

Monday is not Blue

I was still in my little sweet dream when I heard this song in this beautiful morning. Oh, immediately I know that this Monday is not blue to have waken up by this song.

And yeah, today is the holiday, as my brain have automatically deleted the schedule of tests preparation for days, don't you remind me yet. It's still not the time.

Sometimes, you'll be exhausted with the life you are having, pissed-off with the people around, but hey! believe me, God always has a better plan for you. When it's time to enjoy, play hard! When it's time to work hard, just do it with a happy little smile!

Black-and-White

Thanks to those who have contributed in the invention of the camera, transforming a huge chamber into a small and portable camera, or even the advanced DSLR, we could now take photography anytime we want.

I saw this black-and-white ancient photo when I was cleaning the room, after viewing it, I realised that this belongs to my dearly grandfather. It was taken in the wedding day of my grandparents, and yes, the young man with tie is my grandfather and beside him are my great- grandparents who I have never seen before.

Although I am always amused by how rapid the technology moves, somehow I feel pity to have missed the old generations which they have lots of album with ancient photos. Photos may fade with times, but memories are always in our hearts. How great if I could show my grandchildren how my life used to be, who I used to spend time with... Of course I have my own photo album keeping the photos taken when I was still a cute little plump girl, but again the black-and-white is much more memorable.

Maybe I should give thanks to the photo-editing software for the great editing function and start to edit every single photo of mine to black-and-white? Duh, I was just kidding. I wish you enjoy this post with the little thought of mine.

Bukit Tinggi Trip

Erhem erhem.. I have to clarify something here, this is NOT a food blog, and I'm not a food blogger either. Why am I saying this? If you've been following, you must have realized that I have lots of food entries recently, of course I don't have what it takes to be a food blogger, but I just blog whatever in my life. However, my life is not all about food, although people says we eat to stay alive.

In order to prove this, I'm so gonna blog something else now. We have annual course trip involving from first year juniors to final year seniors each year, for this year, we went to Bukit Tinggi! Was so excited before the trip cuz I was still the cute little girl with a ponytail the last time I visited.

So, on Saturday morning, I'm ready!!

Fyi, this trip of the year involved around 80person, so we were divided into 2 groups for the bus when heading to Bukit Tinggi.

It only took us 1 hour++ to reach, so happy that we all could inhale the fresh air before our butts have gone numb! Kinda excited to enjoy this breathtaking view..

What would be better than having a runaway afternoon with the besties, pampering yourself with a luxurious lunch? Not to mention it was a day before the lovely one's birthday. Wei-yin has been our food guide all the time, and of course we had to ask for her help even it's for her pre-celebration. Thanks to her, we visited an awesome restaurant, which I must make this one of my blog entries here, specially dedicating to her.

When I first stepped in, I could see lots of Caucasian were dining and chatting, enjoying their salads, spaghetti... Then I thought we have come to a right place for a runaway.

They serve really nice food, and pricey as well, but they just worth the price, which you will know sooner.

with turkey bacon bita & mushroom in light cream sauce

I personally adore the Carbonara the most, though Pesto is yummy as well. Carbonara is just so irresistible! Typing this is making me more hungry... Oh yea, not forgetting the carrot cake, wei-yin had a hard time choosing one of the cakes there cuz all of them look so yummy, and I guess the carrot cake attracted her the most. I gave a try, the soft and dense texture makes it a good thing, thumbs up for it though I am not a big fans of carrot cakes.

Tappers Cafe

They have limited dishes, that's why I ordered Carbonara, which has terribly disappointed me. The three other dishes were way more delicious than mine, especially both of the chicken chops. Excluding the not-so-yummy spaghetti, the food were so worthy that you must come and have a try.

Initially, I thought it was yummy, hence posing excitedly with it.

One more extra bonus I like about Tappers Cafe is the warm ambiance, which could kill hundreds of shot in no time. But of course you wouldn't want to disturb the other customers who are dining in the cafe, so visit at the right time.

Whenever I scroll down my facebook's homepage, I spot lots of love quotes. Whenever I meet my girlfriends, we discuss about love and guys.

LOVE. Love is the best gift from God, to love and to be loved. The love from parents, friends, partners, teachers are all the blessing which we couldn't live without. But when it comes to the love between a couple, it becomes more complicated.

Believe me, if I were given extra 24 hours per day, I have lots to update. But before I got this bonus from God, I could only manage my time wisely and update my bloggie when I am free. Wait, it doesn't mean that I am free now, since I have 2 lab reports and tutorial to be done. Somehow I just feel like blogging, and of course no superficial posts but if I did, sorry.

So, this was about a lunch date with my Convo Buddy at Euro Deli, his treat =)

The first thing that caught my attention was the painting, I mean the price of it. Not nice? Hello, it costs RM1500. Artworks are priceless.

Euro Deli serves authentic Swiss-German Cuisine, which I had never tried before. Kinda excited when we were on the way. It's quite pricey especially for students like us, thanks to my convo buddy for his treat.

Maxi Dress

I don't call myself petite but short, although this is always the last word I would like to describe myself as. To a girl like me who has only grown for 150cm+ since being a developing fetus, maxi dress is not really my thing. But for the first time, I dare myself to put on a maxi dress in public.

I try to recall what kept me busy until the lack of updates these days, but I just couldn't find any. The saying of 'Time passes so fast when you're having fun' is so true, I was enjoying the busy life here, sounds weird I know, but we should always love life, shouldn't we?

I was addicted to photography recently, lovin' the inexpressible happiness and satisfaction with the outcome when it perfectly conveys my thought and feeling. =) I wish you love them too.

#1: The latest breaking news was about the launching of iphone 4S, which I can see the posts shared on facebook. Before involving myself to discover the latest technology, something more important just filled my time- convocation. My roommie is running a short-term business selling flowers to dedicate to the fresh graduates in my university. Oh, please don't be mistaken, I'm not trying to promote here as it's too late to do that. I was just snapping around and I got this which made me fall in love with sunflower for around 3 seconds.

Still remember I have a little buddy now? In case you don't, her name is Polim Teo and buddy means direct junior/senior. Doubtlessly, the following week will be filled with the word Con-vo-ca-tion. Days ago, I had a dinner meet with my buddy line at Food Foundry, Happy Mansion, SS17. I was looking forward to this buddy meet since we have a new member this year. Besides, I couldn't wait to visit Food Foundry which is suggested by my final year buddy, Ju Yew. (One of his favourite dating spots.)

Both the pastas look alike right? The first one, spicy volcanic sauce, sounds like it is gonna explode in no time. I didn't try on that, but I quite like my Aglio Olio, especially the infinity fresh prawns, 1..2.. 3.. 4.. 5... Except for its oily part, I adore the light olive oil which has pleasantly stimulated my appetite.

If you ever had a visit here, you must have this question around you, why didn't we try the famous milk crepe of this place? Wait, we did! It was Wai Heng's birthday anyhow, so I planned to throw him a little surprise. Since cake is always a must, why not we give a try on cakes in food foundry especially the best seller milk crepe?

What made me happy was the OMG-you-remember-my-birthday expression shown on his face when he saw candle and cakes, since we all pretended to have forgotten to wish him throughout the day.

Fyi, I am so in love with the cheese cake, so cheesy cheesy! Anyhow the other two tasted nice as well, no wonder they are all pricey than Secret Recipe's. (RM9- RM9- RM10)

When I stepped in my uni last year and first met my seniors, they told me to enjoy my uni life, enjoy in the ways of study and have fun! Now it's the third week of my semester 3, study mood has just started to work in me. You know, it's not easy to juggle between study and entertainment, you couldn't call it as an uni life without the presence of either one. Last Friday, I sneak out for a gathering with seniors who have moved out from college. Yes, SNEAK! Cuz I should have attended an event. Shhhhhhhh.....

It's Fullhouse@ Sunway Giza! which I always wanted to go, not because of the food, but the environment, which is super cozy and attractive.

I took out my camera like a shot before my first step to it, then we have our seats at upstairs.

Meet my Buddy

As titled, I have a good news to share. But before that, it is a must for me to explain to you what does buddy mean. If you are studying/ have studied in any public universities, you must be familiar with the term BUDDY, it simply means direct junior/senior. As I am officially a senior now, I shouldn't miss the chance to 'grab' a buddy, who I will announce later.

So the EE first and second year juniors seniors went to Taman Tasik Perdana to have a closing-ceremony-sort-of orientation event.

Our activities held for quite a long time, so we prepared lunch.

While waiting to watch performances by the juniors, diabolo was to kill time. Owh, I love diabolo, who wants to be my instructor?

Hiya! It was a month ago, somehow I miss my long hair, not really very long but to a shortie like me, this is LONGGGGGGGGG. But I wonder why nobody realized i trimmed my hair. How sad. Anyway, I did not trim/cut my hair with a purpose to let the world know. So, it's okay.

OK! Today I learned a lot, not in books but in some other more precious one. This is life, we fell and we rose every time we fall, for there is no never rising, humans make mistake right? We might be seized by lost and distraught, we might be feeble-minded, but this is the process that everyone must go through in their lives. I thank God, for making miracles in me, for His love endures forever, for He will lead me.

Unanswered questions raced around my head. Who am I? Why do I care? Why?

Day to day, time to time, I am just what I am, I tried to be myself, attempted to be nice and open-hearted. This is the blunt fact, when you are too nice to people, they expect more, they will even scorn all your thoughts, letting you down. But what else I could do? Distraught and upset are all in my nerves, perhaps for the first time, I lost, terribly. People, do you ever notice, sometimes I am as fragile as a vase? Maybe you people don't, as I always keep it for myself. But stop the jokes, I don't need any fame, just stop everything, and set me free.

I just hope, just maybe, a microscopic chance of getting some respect and appreciation if you could.

Oh I have a new roommie this semester! A superb cute final year student who doesn't eat much. I guess her stomach is as small as an ant's. She loves food anyhow, and she has promised to bring us to hunt for food when she's free. Not to forget that dancing is like part of her life, hence the bruises on her legs. Done with the intro, you will know more soon.

Btw, we went for lunch and tofufa at SS2.

I know right, I should have come out with an outstanding tittle, rather than just a date. But whenever I wanna blog about my outing with girlfriends, my brain will jam, can't think of any nice tittle, unless there's something special happen. It's impossible for me have 38783748 x same tittle named Outing right? So this tittle will do. :)

As the new semester just started, this is the period that we the students are most free, so why not hanging out? Ytd me, Shiyan and Mun went to Mid Valley. I seldom watch movie in a cinema, but I had this sudden craving for Nasi Lemak 2.0, perhaps it was because it is a local production which is worth my support. GO GO GO!!

And it didn't fail. Lame but funny movie, filled with our unique Malaysia style that you would be familiar with. A lot of languages and dialects used throughout the movie, like English (broken one), Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Hakka, Teow Chew, Hokkien, Cantonese.... The other part that was absolutely enthralling- the wide list of local celebs, such as Namewee himself, Karen Kong, Adibah Noor, Zhang Shao Lin, Reshmonu, Afdlin Shauki...

A hard-won dinner

A big hello from PJ. :)

Today was the second day of Sem 3, that's why I just couldn't pay attention in the lecture. Was yawning non stop and nearly dozed off some times. What I could do to make myself awake was daydreaming, like a permanent daydream. :S

Met the juniors yesterday, bullied them for 2 hours, just a trick for joke. Now we treat them nice. After the meeting session, it was about 8pm, planned to go 2nd college for dinner, but it was closed. Walked back to 1st col for mamak, closed again. How pathetic. Luckily, Vernon has a car with him, so we headed to SS2 for Murni. How lucky, it was CLOSED!

Phew!!! Done with cleaning the room and myself. Not yet done actually, still have some stuff with seniors which will be collected soon. Kinda tired now as I woke up at 7:30am this morning. Had a BAD little snooze just now, disturbed by the people outside, neighbour perhaps. Hopefully I could have a perfect rest tonight and every single night. :)

I wish this post would be an awesome one, as I had a great moment and a lot of nice pix to share here. So, it's about an adventurous visit to an oil palm estate of Froggie's brother-in-law, my first time ever! Really excited when we were on the way, in the Hilux of of him.

Love the moment when the breeze kissed me, ruffling my hair. Too bad, I was too ugly when my hair got ruffled, like as ugly as sin. :S Thought I should always start a nice pic in my post, so here it is!

While we were on the way, we passed by some rubber estates. Living in Penang the beautiful island for 20 years made me a city girl, not that city but at least I did not have any chances to enjoy the beauty of nature. Places that I hung around the most were malls, restaurants... The brother-in-law stopped and let me take pix.

It's an overdue post, about a dinner date with my girls. We seldom meet, so I couldn't find a reason to not posting it here. All the pix are from Jayne and Jasmine, cuz the pix from my camera are in my hard disk. Thank kiu!

We named ourselves Piranha, simply because we are the gluttons, no joke. We can eat a lot, especially when we are together to eat. YeeeHaaaa!! So the last friday, we had a date, after planning for months. It's just too difficult to find date and time that everyone can make it. But, we still made it. *YAY!*

In the blink of an eye, 3 months of holidays just gone like that, nearly gone I mean. :( I guess I have fully utilized it, at least I spent my time with my family and friends.

Seriously, I don't wanna go back to the ish ish ish KL city. I love Penang and the people here, and the food of course. But, no one can ever grip the time, we just need to keep moving.

Leaving Penang, for his place. I will enjoy and relax myself before back to uni life, spending time with him will definately make me happy, YAY!! I don't know I should be happy or sad at this moment. :S
